Public transport for free in Ghent with your Festival Ticket. With your Gent Jazz Festival ticket the use of public transport (bus & tram) in Ghent is for free on the day mentioned on your ticket. So it is easy to reach the festival. During the week until 01 o’clock at night and during the first weekend of the festival 24/24 service in combination with the special night busses on Friday and Saturday evening. During the second weekend of the festival De Lijn offers extra rides because of the Ghent Festivities. Park+Ride Flanders Expo You can also park your car at the Flanders Expo parking lot and take tram 1 to the Gent Sint-Pieters railway station. There you can switch to tram 21, 22 or 4, these ones take you right to the entrance of the festival (stop Bijlokehof). To get back you have several options: Or at the stop Bijlokehof you can take tram 21, 22 or 4 again to Gent Sint-Pieters railway station and there you can switch to tram 1 to get to Flanders Expo. or you can take tram 1 at the corner of De Kerchovelaan/Kortrijksepoortstraat. This tram takes you back to Flanders Expo directly without any transfer. Last rides back:

The first part of the festival, from 8 to July 11, there is a combination of unnumbered seats and standing places. The second part of the festival, from July 15 to July 18 and July 7, there are only standing places. People with disabilities can take place in the VIP stand during the concert, for wheelchair users separate stage is provided. Those who come by car can have access the VIP parking but only on presentation of a disabled parking identification card. Please first send an email to info(at)gentjazz.com so we can take account of your arrival. Persons accompanying disabled persons in need of accompaniment have free admission. Assistance dogs are welcome. Adequate sanitary facilities for disabled people are provided. |
